Q3. What features of Spraywise Decisions are unique?

Q4. How can I subscribe to Spraywise Decisions and what payment options do I have?
Spraywise Decisions is being offered by Nufarm to all landholders across Australia
on a 3 month fee-free basis for a trial period until July 31 2008. Thereafter, ongoing
users will be required to remit a modest fee to obtain an ongoing subscription that
needs to be renewed each year.
Payment options vary according to the identity of individual users of Spraywise
Decisions. Potential users fall into two distinct groups.
- Users who are existing members of the Nufarm Top Cropper program will have the option
of using loyalty points or a combination of points and payment towards their annual
subscription.
- Users who are not members of the Nufarm Top Cropper program are welcome but will
be required to remit an annual subscription fee to maintain access.
The initial annual subscription fee is set at $120 + GST per user, commencing 1 August 2008.
Thereafter, the fee will be indexed for inflation and may be increased, but only after a significant
amount of additional functionality is added.
Q5. What should I do if I forget or want to change my username or password?
If you know your username, use the Retrieve Password option at the log-on page to
retrieve your password.
If you have forgotten your user name, please try your email address as this should
be your user name. Also look at your email inbox for the email sent to you when
your account was originally created. If you are unsuccessful, contact Spraywise
Decisions (see Question 10).
Q6. How does Spraywise Decisions know what locality is of most interest to me?
The Suburb/Town details in combination with your Postcode district provided in your
registration information will be used to automatically assign you a fixed primary
point of interest, and set the default extent of the map and satellite imagery viewer
to a buffered distance around the nearest relevant Local Government Area (LGA).
Q7. How many individual points can I register?
The initial trial release of Spraywise Decisions allows each subscriber to locate,
move, edit, rename or delete one additional point for which weather forecasts and
spray condition predictions can be obtained.
Subsequent releases of Spraywise Decisions will allow each subscriber to locate
and retain additional points of interest up to a maximum number to be determined
on the basis of loads generated by concurrent users.
Q8. Am I restricted to my local area of interest?
The initial trial release of Spraywise Decisions will enable users to zoom and pan
map themes and satellite imagery, identify map overlay features and locate, move,
edit, rename or delete their movable point of interests for which weather forecasts
and spray condition predictions can be obtained anywhere across Australia.
Subsequent releases of Spraywise Decisions may impose geographical restrictions
if loads generated by concurrent users become too onerous.
Q9. What is Delta T?
Delta T is becoming one of the standard indicators for acceptable spray conditions.
Delta T is calculated by subtracting the wet bulb temperature from the dry bulb temperature.
The diagram below relates air temperature and relative humidity to values of Delta T.
When applying pesticides, Delta T should ideally be between 2 and 8.
Q10. How accurate and reliable is Spraywise Decisions?
